Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 2026
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all agreements between 4Tec Holding GmbH, Wenkerstraße 5, 59329 Wadersloh, Germany ("Provider") and users of the ContentDeck platform ("User"), regardless of whether the User is a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB or a business within the meaning of § 14 BGB.
Any deviating, conflicting, or supplementary terms and conditions of the User shall not become part of the contract unless the Provider expressly agrees to them in writing.
Use of the platform is permitted only to adults with full legal capacity and to legal entities. Minors may not use ContentDeck.
2. Subject Matter
The Provider makes the Software-as-a-Service platform ContentDeck available to the User via the internet. ContentDeck is a social media management tool offering features such as client management, task management, content scheduling, analytics, automated posting, and integrations with cloud services and social media accounts for agencies and individuals.
The User does not acquire ownership of the software but only a time-limited, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to use the platform during the subscription period.
The Provider does not guarantee any specific business results. ContentDeck is a tool to support social media management, not a guarantee of specific outcomes.
3. Registration and User Account
Use of ContentDeck requires registration and creation of a user account. The User is obligated to provide truthful and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.
The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and is liable for all activities carried out under their account. Any suspected unauthorized use must be reported to the Provider immediately.
There is no entitlement to registration. The Provider reserves the right to reject registrations without stating reasons.
4. Contract Conclusion and Term
The contract for paid use of ContentDeck is concluded by selecting a subscription plan, entering payment details, and completing the order process.
ContentDeck is offered in the following subscription variants:
- Monthly subscription: Term of one month, automatically renewed by one additional month each time.
- Annual subscription: Term of twelve months, automatically renewed by one additional year each time.
Automatic renewal occurs at the then-current price, unless the User cancels in time.
If the Provider offers a free trial period, it ends automatically without requiring cancellation. After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using the platform.
5. Prices and Payment
Current prices are displayed on the website under the "Pricing" section. All prices are net prices plus statutory VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.
Payment is processed via the payment service provider Stripe. The due amount is charged to the User's payment method at the beginning of each billing period. The User receives an invoice by email after each payment.
If payment fails, the Provider is entitled to temporarily suspend access to the platform until the outstanding amount is settled.
The Provider reserves the right to change prices. Price increases will be communicated to the User by email at least 30 days before taking effect.
6. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
Consumers generally have a right of withdrawal of 14 days from the conclusion of the contract. The User may communicate their withdrawal by a clear declaration (e.g., by email to info@contentdeck.io).
The User expressly agrees that the Provider may begin performing the contract before the withdrawal period expires. In the event of withdrawal before full performance, the User owes proportionate compensation for the services rendered up to that point.
7. Cancellation
The User may cancel their subscription at any time via the dashboard or by email to info@contentdeck.io.
- Monthly subscription: Cancellation effective at the end of the current billing period.
- Annual subscription: Cancellation effective at the end of the current annual period.
After cancellation, access remains available until the end of the paid period. Refunds for the current period are not provided unless the Provider is responsible for the termination.
The right to extraordinary termination for cause remains unaffected for both parties.
8. Usage Rights, Obligations, and Fair Use
The User receives a simple, non-transferable right to use the platform for its intended purpose during the subscription period. Sharing login credentials with third parties or commercial sublicensing is not permitted.
The User is obligated to use the platform in compliance with applicable law. In particular, the following are prohibited:
- Using the platform for unlawful, defamatory, or misleading content
- Circumventing or manipulating the platform's security systems
- Conducting automated access (scraping, bots) without express permission
- Using the platform in a way that impairs operation for other users
- Conducting mass uploads or excessive API requests that place disproportionate load on the Provider's infrastructure
The User retains ownership of all content uploaded or created on the platform. The User grants the Provider the right to store and process such content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
9. Third-Party Services and External Integrations
ContentDeck enables connections to external services and platforms. These third-party providers are subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies, for which the Provider assumes no responsibility.
The scope of individual integrations may depend on the respective third-party providers. Changes, restrictions, or discontinuation of APIs by third parties are outside the Provider's control.
The User is solely responsible for ensuring that published content complies with the policies of the respective platforms. The legal responsibility for published content rests exclusively with the User.

- LinkedIn User Agreement: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/user-agreement
ContentDeck uses YouTube API Services. By using the YouTube features of ContentDeck, the User agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
By connecting an account, the User authorizes the Provider to transmit the content the User schedules, or releases for immediate publication, to the respective platform on the User's behalf.
The User is responsible for holding all necessary rights to the transmitted content (including rights to any music used), for correctly labelling commercial and branded content as well as AI-generated content, and for complying with the rules of the respective platform.
The Provider does not guarantee publication at the exact second scheduled. Publication may be delayed or fail, for example due to outages or disruptions of platform APIs, rate limits, changed or revoked permissions, expired access tokens, or content being rejected by the platform. The Provider informs the User of this in the app. The User should check the publishing status of their posts.
The Provider is not liable for content that is removed or restricted by a platform, unless the Provider is responsible for this.
10. AI-Powered Features
ContentDeck may provide AI-powered features such as text generation, caption suggestions, and analytics evaluations. These features serve exclusively as assistance and do not replace legal, professional, or editorial review by the User.
The User is solely responsible for the publication and lawfulness of all content, regardless of whether it was created manually or generated by AI features.
11. Data Backup and Data Loss
The Provider performs regular backups but does not guarantee individual archiving or restoration of user content. The User is obligated to maintain their own backups of important data.
After termination of the contract, the User is responsible for exporting their data before the contract ends. User data may be irrevocably deleted after a grace period of 30 days following contract termination, subject to statutory retention obligations.
12. Availability, Maintenance, and Force Majeure
The Provider strives to ensure high availability of the platform. Exceptions include planned maintenance and outages caused by circumstances outside the Provider's control.
The Provider is not liable for performance impairments or outages due to force majeure, including: natural disasters, pandemics, cyberattacks, power outages, third-party API failures, government orders, and strikes.
13. Support
The Provider offers support by email at info@contentdeck.io. The Provider aims to respond to inquiries within 48 hours.
14. Intellectual Property
All rights to the ContentDeck platform — including software, source code, design, user interface, trademarks, and logos — remain exclusively with the Provider or the respective rights holders.
Reverse engineering, decompiling, or other attempts to extract the platform's source code are prohibited.
15. Liability
The Provider is fully liable for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health, and for damages caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence.
For slight negligence in breaching essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage.
Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. This applies in particular to lost profits, indirect damages, data loss, consequential damages, and damages arising from third-party API failures.
16. Data Protection and Data Processing
The collection and processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Where the User processes personal data of third parties through ContentDeck, the User is the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR. In such cases, a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR must be concluded. Please contact info@contentdeck.io.
17. Amendments to these Terms
The Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms with effect for the future. Changes will be communicated to the User by email at least 30 days before taking effect. If the User does not object within 30 days, the amended Terms are deemed accepted.
18. Special Provisions for Business Users
For Users who are businesses within the meaning of § 14 BGB, the following additional provisions apply:
- Apparent malfunctions or defects must be reported in writing immediately upon becoming known.
- Offsetting against the Provider's claims is only permitted with undisputed or legally established claims.
- The User may only exercise a right of retention insofar as it arises from the same contractual relationship.
19. Final Provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive the User of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence.
For merchants, legal entities under public law, or special funds under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is Münster, Germany.
Should any provision of these Terms be wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
